This product is a compound preparation of amoxicillin sodium and clavulanate potassium. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, while potassium clavulanate itself has only weak antibacterial activity, but has strong broad-spectrum β - lactase inhibition. The combination of the two can protect amoxicillin from β - lactase hydrolysis. The antibacterial spectrum of this product is the same as amoxicillin, and it has good effects on enzyme producing Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, coagulase negative Staphylococcus, and Enterococcus. It also has good antibacterial activity against certain β - lactam producing Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Bacteroides fragilis, etc. This product has no effect on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus and Enterobacteriaceae, which produce chromosome mediated type I enzymes, as well as Pseudomonas.
