From the supplier
Product Overview
Composite suspension insulators consist of a fiberglass-reinforced epoxy resin rod (core rod), silicone rubber sheds, and metal end fittings. They are used to suspend conductors and provide insulation to ground in high-voltage transmission lines. Compared to traditional porcelain or glass insulators, they offer advantages such as light weight, high mechanical strength, excellent anti-pollution flashover performance, and zero-value detection free.
Key Features
-
High Anti-pollution Performance: Silicone rubber material has inherent hydrophobicity and hydrophobic transfer, significantly improving withstand voltage under polluted conditions.
-
High Mechanical Strength: The core rod provides high tensile strength, with rated mechanical loads (RML) from 70 kN to 550 kN.
-
Lightweight: Only 10%–30% of the weight of equivalent porcelain insulators, facilitating easy transportation and installation.
-
Zero-value Free: No need for periodic zero-value insulator detection, reducing maintenance costs.
-
Good Impact and Seismic Resistance: Suitable for harsh environments such as heavy wind, seismic zones, and severe pollution.
Technical Specifications
-
Rated Voltage: 10 kV ~ 1100 kV
-
Nominal Structural Height: Customized according to voltage level
-
Minimum Arc Distance: In accordance with GB/T 19519, IEC 61109
-
Shed Configuration: Alternating large and small sheds for self-cleaning
-
End Fittings: Ball & socket or clevis type, conforming to standard dimensions
Applications
Suitable for AC and DC transmission lines, substations, railway catenaries, and other outdoor overhead lines.
Applicable Standards
GB/T 19519, IEC 61109, ANSI C29.17, etc.
