Diminazene Aceturate (Three nitrogen amidine) for Injection
APPEARANCE: This product is yellow or orange crystalline powder.
DESCRIPTION: Diminazene Aceturate has an effect on trypanosomes, piriformis and edgeworms (anamorphs) in livestock animals. After medication, the blood concentration is high, but the duration is short, so it is mainly used for treatment, and the preventive effect is poor. Its mechanism of action is to selectively block the DNA synthesis or replication of the trypanosomal motif, and irreversibly combine with the cell nucleus, so that the trypanosomal motif disappears and cannot divide and reproduce.
INDICATIONS: For livestock animal Babesia piriformis, Taylor piriformis, trypanosomiasis and trypanosomiasis.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Intramuscular injection
Horses: 3-4 mg/1kg B.W., Cattle and Sheep: 3-5mg/1kg B.W.
Prepare to 5%~7% solution before use.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
(1) Triazamidine is more toxic and can cause parasympathetic nerve excitatory-like reactions. Reactions such as restlessness, getting up and lying down, frequent urination, and muscle tremors often occur after medication. Excessive use can cause death.
(2) Intramuscular injection has strong irritation.
PRECAUTIONS:
(1) This product is highly toxic and has a small safety range. The dosage of the drug should be strictly controlled, and no excessive use should be made.
(2) Camels are sensitive and usually not used; horses are more sensitive and should be used with caution; excessive use can reduce milk production in dairy cows.
(3) Water buffalo should not be used together, just once; other livestock can be used together when necessary, but 24 hours apart. Do not use more than 3 times in a row.
(4) Local intramuscular injection is irritating and can cause swelling. Deep intramuscular injection should be divided into points.
WITHDRAWAL TIME: Cattle and Sheep: 28 days; Milk: 7 days.
