I. Under the same conditions (height), "Satelit +" has a larger protection range than ordinary lightning rods.
II. Lightning strike is more accurate, reducing the probability of a lightning strike point falling on a non-lightning needle body.

According to NFC17-102, the needle tip should be 2m (h1) above the level of the protected object. When the height of the lightning rods is different (h2, h3, ... hn), the protection scope (radius) is Rp2, Rp3 ... Rpn, respectively, and the calculation formula should consider the lightning protection level of the protected object, the local thunderstorm activities and geological landforms.
The protection radius of "satelit +" is related to the height (h), its preemption time (model), and the selected protection level:
