【Nomenclature】 Generic name: Minoxidil Liniment English name: Minoxidil Liniment Chinese Pinyin: Minuodi’er Chaji 【Ingredients】 Each bottle contains 1.2 g of minoxidil. Excipients: propylene glycol, ethanol, purified water. 【Description】 A clear, colourless to pale yellow liquid. 【Classification】 Non-prescription dermatological medication. 【Indications】 For the treatment of male pattern baldness and alopecia areata. 【Strength】 2% (60 mL: 1.2 g) 【Dosage and Administration】 Topical use only. Apply 1 mL to the affected area of the scalp, starting from the center, and massage gently for 3‒5 minutes. Use the same dose regardless of the size of the affected area. Do not exceed 2 mL per day. Apply only to completely dry hair and scalp. Avoid application to other body areas. Wash hands thoroughly after use. 【Adverse Reactions】 Common: Mild scalp dermatitis. Rare (causal relationship not established): Irritant dermatitis (redness, scaling, burning sensation), non-specific allergic reactions, urticaria, allergic rhinitis, facial edema, allergy, dyspnea, headache, neuritis, dizziness, syncope, vertigo, edema, chest pain, blood pressure changes, palpitations, pulse rate changes. 【Contraindications】 Hypersensitivity to minoxidil or any excipient. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 【Precautions】 1. For scalp use only. Do not ingest or apply to other body areas. 2. Not effective on scarred or damaged area of the scalp. Ensure normal scalpcondition before use. 3. Systemic absorption may occur despite no conclusive evidence of systemic effects. Potential risks include tachycardia, angina, and worsening of guanethidine-induced orthostatic hypotension. Patients with cardiac history should be aware this product may exacerbate their condition. 4. Monitor for signs of systemic effects. Discontinue use and consult a physician if severe systemic or skin reactions occur. 5. May cause eye irritation/burns. If contact occurs with eyes, broken skin, mucous membranes, rinse immediately with plenty of cold water. 6. Use with caution in children under 18 years and elderly over 65 years; consult a physician or pharmacist before use. 7. Discontinue use if any of the following occur: i) Chest pain, rapid heartbeat, weakness, or dizziness; ii) Sudden, unexplained weight gain; iii) Swelling of hands or feet; iv) Scalp irritation or redness; v) Excessive hair growth on non-scalp areas; vi) No hair regrowth after 4 months of use. 8. Do not overdose. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose or severe adverse reactions occur. 9. Contraindicated in patients allergic to this product; use with caution in those with allergicconstitution. 10. Do not use if the product's characteristics have changed. 11. Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion and serious adverse events. 12. Children must use under adult supervision. 13.
