Idler tubes are the core components of idlers in belt conveyors. Their main functions are to support the weight of the conveyor belt and materials, and reduce the friction

during the operation of the conveyor belt, serving as key parts to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the conveying system. They are mostly made of high-frequency welded pipes or seamless steel pipes;

for some special working conditions (such as humid and corrosive environments), stainless steel pipes are used instead. Idler tubes are manufactured through processes like cutting, end processing,

and anti-rust treatment. The thickness of the tube wall is designed based on load-bearing requirements, usually ranging from 2mm to 6mm, to balance structural strength and self-weight.

In practical applications, idler tubes need to be assembled with bearing housings, shafts, and other components to form complete idlers, which are widely used in belt conveyors in fields such as mining, coal,

building materials, and ports. For example, in heavy-duty conveyors used for coal transportation in mines, idler tubes must have high pressure resistance to

bear heavy loads; while light-duty conveyors in the food industry mostly use stainless steel idler tubes to ensure hygiene compliance and corrosion resistance.

High-quality idler tubes can not only reduce the wear rate of the conveyor belt but also lower the operating noise of the conveyor, extending the maintenance cycle of the entire conveying system.
