Quacent Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) (or other called Wooden Based Load‐bearing Stressed Panels) are factory assembled, laminated sandwich panels produced at locations of Dalian Quacent under ISO 9001‐2016 quality controlled environment. The panels consist of expanded Polystyrene (EPS) core with oriented strand board facing.
Facing：
The facing of Quacent SIPs consists of two single‐ply oriented strand board (OSB) facings at minimum of 7/16 in. (11.1mm) thick, Exposure 1, Rated Sheathing with a span index of 24/16, manufactured in Canada conforming CSA 0325 or USA DOC PS2.
Core:
The core material is expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, meeting the requirement of ASTM C 578(5), type 1 with minimum density of 1.0lb/ft3 (19kg/m3) with fire retardant agent added. Flame spread rating of Quacent SIP cores should be less than 450 in accordance to ASTM E 84 (4). The minimum thickness of the core is 3.5''(89mm).
Adhesive:
Facing materials are adhered to the core material using structural adhesive, conforming to USA ICC‐ES evaluation report. The adhesive is applied during the lamination process in accordance with the in‐plant quality control manual. The approved supplier of the Adhesive are listed in below.
