Kalimba is a kind of African folk musical instrument with ethnic characteristics. It got its name from the use of the thumb to pluck the thin plates (mainly wooden, bamboo, and in modern development, metal) on the body of the instrument. Kalimba is mainly used for accompaniment singing. When playing, the instrument body should be held in both hands, and then played with two thumbs. When the thumb is pressed down and released, the steel plate will vibrate and make a sound. It is suitable for children to cultivate their sense of music and experience the wonderful world brought by music.
