Pingwu's cured meat and sausages are unique and renowned for their combination of color, aroma, and taste. On the occasion of the Spring Festival, people prepare for the holiday by almost every day hearing people slaughtering New Year pigs and preparing preserved meat. Bacon can be stored for a long time, even in the hot summer of July, it remains unchanged in color and texture. The reason why Pingwu's cured meat can dominate the market is because it has its own unique features from raw materials to pickling and baking. The selected pork is all raised by Qiang people in their own pens without adding any feed, mainly consisting of grains and cereals.
