Steel bearer wire shall be fully galvanized to avoid corrosion, having the following parameters.
1 Nominal Diameter of Steel Bearer Wire (mm) 1.2 +- 0.01 2 Minimum Breaking Strength (Kg) 155
Insulated Copper conductors and the steel bearer wire shall be uniformly covered with black Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) of high density. The PVC shall be made weather proof by addition of carbon black to be 2% by the weight of the PVC compound.
Insulation Resistance of Conductors and steel ≥ 10,000 mega-ohm km@ (500V
DC,1min 20℃)
The average mutual capacitance shall not exceed 60 n F/Km when measured at a frequency of 1,000 Hz ±100 Hz at 20℃
Spark Test, all wires withstand the RMS test voltage of 10,000 Volts for one minute
Attenuation at 1MHz (200C) ≤ 1.6dB/100m
Nominal Insulation Thickness of PVC coating of Steel Wire shall be 1.0 mm
Nominal Insulation Thickness of PE coating of Conductors shall be 0.8 mm
