Overview of solid flowmeter:
HDLDG-06 solid flowmeter is a new type of online flowmeter specially developed by our company for powder flow detection, leveraging German technology and years of dedicated research by multiple experts. It incorporates the latest AC coupling technology in the world. This represents the most accurate and stable monitoring technology in modern times, particularly suitable for continuous emission recording and data accumulation. The working principle of this monitoring system is to utilize the charge induction generated when powder particles flow around the probe or inside the ring sensor to determine the online flow rate (kg/h) (t/h) of powder particles. Under relatively stable conveying conditions (i.e., at the same measurement point, with basically the same flow rate, humidity, and solid particle properties), this system can be directly used for online monitoring of powder or instantaneous flow of fine particles. It can achieve on-site flow display and standard current output of 4-20MA, enabling remote display and control. It is also the best instrument for monitoring blockages in powder conveying pipelines.
Characteristics and advantages of solid flowmeters:
1. The HDLDG-06 solid flowmeter utilizes the most advanced annular anti-interference sensor and charge induction technology, featuring high detection sensitivity and good linearity for powders or particles. Even with minor dust contamination on the probe, it does not affect measurement sensitivity, making it maintenance-free and cleaning-free.

3. This measurement system consists of two parts: the sensor and the converter. The sensor part is flange-connected and directly installed on the measurement pipeline, equivalent to a two-wire transmitter. The converter, similar to a secondary instrument, is mostly installed in the control room or an easily accessible location. Its function is to process and calculate the signal sent from the sensor and the current signal output by the frequency converter of the motor regulating the feeding speed, and finally display the instantaneous flow rate and cumulative flow rate. It also has recording and query functions. Additionally, it offers two output functions: 485 communication function and 4-20MA current signal corresponding to the instantaneous flow rate, which can be used by the host computer, DCS system, and PLC module
4. The installation and use are completely consistent with two-wire transmitters, and on-site engineering and technical personnel can use it correctly without any special training. It is easy to install and reliable to operate.
5. The 4-20mA current output from the integrated transmitter inside the junction box is electrically isolated from the powder or particle sensing probe, ensuring safe signal transmission.

The HDLDG-06 magnetoelectric flowmeter possesses unique advantages, and is therefore widely used in various industrial fields such as chemical engineering, chemical fiber, glass manufacturing, food processing, paper making, mining and metallurgy, environmental protection, steel production, power generation, petroleum, and cement. It is utilized for measuring the flow of various fine particulate media, including coal powder, mineral powder, lime powder, cement, flour, petroleum coke powder, catalysts, and more.
Principle of solid flowmeter:
The measurement principle of the HDLDG-06 intelligent magnetoelectric solid flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The measuring tube of the flowmeter is lined with a short tube of non-magnetic alloy, which is an insulating material. The electrodes penetrate through the tube wall along the diameter direction and are fixed on the measuring tube. Their electrodes are basically flush with the inner surface of the lining. When the excitation coil is excited by a square wave pulse, a working magnetic field with a magnetic flux density B will be generated in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the measuring tube. At this time, if fluid flows through the measuring tube, it will cut the magnetic field lines and induce an electromotive force E. The electromotive force E (flow signal) is detected by the electrodes and sent to the converter through the cable. After the converter amplifies and processes the flow signal, it can display the fluid flow rate and output signals such as pulses and simulated current, which are used for flow control and adjustment.
It generates a uniform electromagnetic wave measurement field in the measuring tube through special capacitive coupling technology. The material entering the pipeline interacts with the electromagnetic wave, and the frequency and amplitude of the generated signal are calculated and processed in the central processing unit.
Calculate the powder flow rate in the pipeline according to the following formula: Q=ρVA, where:
Q — Mass flow rate of powder;
ρ — concentration value of powder;
V — Velocity value of powder;
A———The cross-sectional area of the measuring tube is known (a constant for a given model).
The measurement of powder concentration is achieved by coupling with a high-frequency alternating electromagnetic field within the measuring ring. The material passing through this measurement area attenuates the energy of this field
From Q=ρVA, it can be seen that parameters such as temperature, pressure, and solid component ratio of the measured fluid medium do not affect the measurement results. As for the flow state, as long as it conforms to axisymmetric flow (such as laminar flow or turbulent flow), it will not affect the measurement results. The magnitude of solid flow rate is proportional to the number of particles in the solid medium and the flow velocity of the medium. The more particles there are and the faster the medium flows, the lower the induced voltage generated. After amplification by the amplifier circuit, shaping, filtering, and computation, a standard current signal that is linearly proportional to the flow rate is finally output for our counting and processing. Finally, it is converted into a flow rate display. Therefore, the magnetic flowmeter is a true volumetric flowmeter. This is a prominent advantage of the magnetic flowmeter, which is not found in any other flowmeters. There are no moving or flow-resistant components inside the measuring tube, so there is almost no pressure loss and high reliability
Installation of solid flowmeter
1. The sensor is preferably installed on a horizontal pipeline, but it can also be installed on a vertical pipeline. However, the installation point should be at least 5 times the pipe diameter away from valves and elbows, and it should be connected via flanges or welding.
2. The pipe diameter and size are provided by the manufacturer.
3. The sensor junction box is rainproof. The signal cable passes through the wiring hole on the junction box and is directly connected to the wiring terminal inside the box. Then, the sealing rubber ring is compressed tightly. The external cable should be fixed nearby to prevent mechanical damage to the transmission wire caused by swinging back and forth in the wind and rain.

Maintenance of solid flowmeter products
Due to the design of this product, there are few movable parts and the lining does not adhere to polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Therefore, maintenance is rarely required. If the fluid humidity is indeed high and the fluid adhering to the surface of the instrument lining is thick, it can be removed and the surface wiped clean. After installation, it can be used normally.
