[sample requirements]

The nasopharyngeal swab samples collected should be transported at 2℃ ~ 8℃ and immediately tested. The time of transportation and storage of the samples should not exceed 48h.

[test method]

1. Before sampling, label the relevant sample information on the label of the sampling tube.

2. According to different sampling requirements, the nasopharyngeal region should be sampled with a sampling swab.

3. Specific sampling methods are as follows:

A) nasal swab: insert the swab head gently into the nasopalatine in the nasal canal, stop for a moment, and then slowly rotate to exit.Wipe the other side of the nostril with another swab. Dip the swab head into the sample solution and discard the tail.B) pharyngeal swab: swab the bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and the posterior pharyngeal wall. Similarly, dip the swab head into the sample solution and discard the tail.

4. Put the swab into the sampling tube quickly.

5. Break the part of the sampling swab that is higher than the sampling tube and tighten the tube cover.

6. Freshly collected clinical specimens should be transported to the laboratory within 48h at 2℃ ~ 8℃.

After sampling, the sampling liquid becomes yellow or turbid, which requires resampling.
