Product Introduction
The AC Arc Generator is intended for factory routine inspection of arc fault detection devices (AFDDs) in lowvoltage 220 V AC circuits. It simulates series arc faults in AC circuits to test the arc detection and tripping response capability of AFDDs, verifying reliability of protection devices when arc fault occurs.
Application Scenarios
Suitable for AFDD R&D and for routine quality inspection of batch production.
Product Features
1. Built-in RS-485 interface and LAN port; programmable software control; integrable with production line automated test systems and compatible with automatic test fixtures for coordinated use.
2. Automatic arc-generating speed and manual jog speed are independently adjustable, with minimum feed precision down to 10 µm/s.
3. Supports manual switching among three speed levels: low, medium, and high; electrode separation rate is stable and controllable..
4. Supports two automatic test modes: single-cycle arc pulling and cyclic arc pulling; user-definable arc duration and cyclic test interval; one-button start of the entire test sequence; equipped with active AC circuit disconnection protection and automatic power-off upon test abnormality.
5. Automatic home position calibrating. The initial electrode contact position can be set via the touchscreen, ensuring a consistent starting point for each test and high repeatability in batch testing.
6. The arc generator features an integrated frame design with a compact footprint, making it easy to move and transport between production lines and laboratories.
7. Reserved arc voltage acquisition points are provided for connection to an external oscilloscope, enabling real-time acquisition, observation, and analysis of AC arc fault electrical waveforms.
8. Designed for use with a standard AC 220V mains power supply circuit, the test current is flexibly adjustable according to the external load. The touchscreen provides real-time synchronous display of the system mains voltage, circuit test current, and product tripping time. The tripping duration parameter is user-definable.
